 In a resolute declaration of solidarity, against terrorism, former MLA from Ramnagar and BJP spokesperson, Mr. Ranbir Singh Pathania, convened a press conference in Udhampur, reaffirming Jammu & Kashmir's unwavering commitment to combatting terrorism. 

Mr. Pathania paid tribute to the brave Village Defence Guard (VDG) member who lost his life protecting the community, demanding justice for his family. He called for an ex-gratia relief of Rs. 20 lakhs and a permanent government job for the bereaved next of kin, emphasizing the need to support them during this difficult time.

He denounced divisive forces attempting to disrupt peace and lauded the government's efforts in countering terrorism, corruption, and separatism, highlighting the positive transformation witnessed in Jammu & Kashmir. 

Joined by prominent figures like, Mrs Pinky Devi, DDC Latti-Marothi, Mr Jattu Ram, DDC Ramnagar, Mr. Uttam Chand (UT Co-Convenor, VDG Union), Mr. Vijay Kumar (District Convenor, VDG Union), Mr Vivek Gupta, district BJP spokesperson, Sushant Gupta, Secretary, district BJP, Babli Thakur, General Secretary, Mahila Morcha, Udhampur, Farid Mohd, Abdul and other esteemed colleagues, Mr. Pathania emphasized the crucial role of Village Defence Guards in maintaining security. They advocated for enhanced training, modern equipment, robust surveillance systems, and fair remuneration for VDG members. Additionally, they stressed the importance of promptly returning civilian-owned weapons deposited with authorities to bolster community defense. 

Mr. Pathania and his fellow leaders urged for swift resolution of pending gun license cases, upholding the right to self-defense within legal boundaries.

This press conference served as a resounding testament to the resilience and unity of Jammu & Kashmir, showcasing its unwavering determination to stand against terrorism and build a secure and prosperous future for all.
